Description

Shock Absorber Seals

KOK designs and manufactures shock absorber seals for OEM suspension and damping systems, where controlled friction, wear resistance, and long-term sealing integrity are critical to ride performance and durability.

Shock absorber seals are functional dynamic seals used within damper assemblies to retain fluid, exclude contamination, and maintain consistent damping characteristics over repeated cycles and temperature variation. Seal geometry and material selection directly influence leakage resistance, friction behavior, and service life.

Engineering & Performance Focus

KOK shock absorber seals are developed to support:

  • Low and stable dynamic friction for predictable damping response
  • Wear resistance under high cycle frequency and continuous rod movement
  • Resistance to heat, oil, and environmental aging
  • Effective exclusion of dust, water, and road debris

KOK proprietary compound development supports consistent friction behavior and durability targets defined by OEM suspension programs.

Dimensional Range

Min / Max Size: 10 mm – 50 mm

(Custom dimensions and profiles are supported based on customer drawings and technical requirements.)

Material selection is aligned with damper design, operating temperature range, media exposure, and durability requirements.

Application Scope

KOK shock absorber seals are specified for:

  • Motorcycle and ATV shock absorber systems
  • Automotive shock absorber / damper assemblies
  • Additional suspension and damping applications upon request
